September 24, 1993 Mr. David Seebach Dear David: I just want to thank you for your extraordinary contribution to our recent The Magic of Balance business/theater meetings created for our client, The Walgreen Company. As you know, this meeting offered a unique challenge: integrate the concepts of professional magic with those of business balance - in a way that was informative, entertaining, and meaningful for a total audience of more than 3,000 people. From the beginning, our goal was to do something "more than" magic. Naturally, the audience was mystified, thrilled, and delighted by your masterful illusions. But what they, perhaps, did not realize, was your more comprehensive contribution to the success of the meeting. For months, you worked with us to develop continuity, patter, speaker introductions, and even on-camera videotaped illusions that amplified the magic of balance theme. As importantly, you shared with us your videotape archives, and allowed us to use your own professional and private life to act as an analogy for the concept of balance. The end result was an opening module that was entertaining, inspiring and in its mix of multi-screen, pre-taped, and live elements, astounding. To quote a line from the show, "what the audience sees looks easy ... because magic is such hard work."
